BAND CAMP INFORMATION

Band Camp takes place at Lake Fenton High School during the day for 1 week.

Students are dismissed to go home daily at 6 PM (Monday - Thursday) and 8 PM (Friday)

It is a time completely devoted to marching fundamentals, drill, music rehearsal,

and learning the entire halftime show for the season.

High School Band Camp is a requirement for participation in high school band. 

​

2025: August 4-8, 2025

2026: August 3-7, 2026

2027: August 2-6, 2027

What To Bring

 

  1. Lunch (CLICK HERE for details)
    Please also e
    at a healthy breakfast before arriving in the morning.

  2. Instrument (in good playing condition)

  3. Band Supplies (Reeds, Sticks, Music Lyre, Flip Folder, etc.)
    Freshmen will be provided a lyre and flip folder upon arrival at no additional cost.
    Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors should already have their lyre and flip folder from previous years.
    If you are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who has misplaced yours, you can order them HERE.

  4. Athletic shoes and socks (no sandals, flip-flops, or open-toed shoes)

  5. LARGE Water Bottle

  6. Sunglasses

  7. Hat

  8. Sunscreen

  9. Appropriate clothing for movement (the best attire is a t-shirt with loose and lightweight athletic shorts)

  10. Money to purchase Kona Ice during lunch [OPTIONAL].

Blue Devil Day

5:30 PM - Pizza Dinner (Provided) with Senior Crown Presentations in High School Commons for band members.

6:30 PM - Rehearsal

7:30 PM - Final Band Camp Halftime Show Performance on High School Game Field / Spectators Welcome!

8:00 PM - Dismissal

  • It is the responsibility of the band member or his/her family to arrange for lunch accommodations during band camp. 

  • It is highly recommended that students bring a lunch or, if providing their own transportation to Mundy Sportsplex, stopping somewhere between Lake Fenton High School and the Hill Road Meijer.

  • Have family dialog regarding leaving campus via the following:

- Walking alone or with someone

- Bicycling alone or with someone

- Riding in a motor vehicle driven by a family member, adult, or student

- Driving a motor vehicle alone or with passengers.

  • The observed mode of transportation used will be assumed to be in accordance with the family expectations. 

  • Ensure that your child is fully aware of the liabilities involved with each of these modes of transportation.
